loss of connection

here's the scoop,

i am able to connect to the internet both wirelessly and not. I get full access to the internet for about 4-5 minutes upon a cold boot or restart. After about five minutes my internet connection is almost non-existant. I am able to continue to use instant messaging services (AIM & YAHOO for messaging only, not filesharing) but neither iexplorer or firefox will load any sites. I have run hyjack!this in an attempt to diagnose the problem myself and noticed about 90 entries with "020 - Winlogon Notify: ********.dll - c:\windows\system32\********.dll"

I am not sure where to go from here but it is quite annoying. Other forums have suggested i uninstall my P2P sharing programs and disable/uninstall norton anti-virus. The main problem with that is, i dont do P2P sharing, and i dont have norton, or any other anti-viral program for that matter. I have run spysweeper, addaware, and spybot. I have even gone as far as to kilbox these programs one at a time. I need some help please!
