Loss of critical file on External HD after AntiVirus run

Hi all. I do hope someone can assist me in trying to recover 2 TB of movies and TV shows that I have on my WD External TB Drive.

My drive was infected with ?? Virus, still not sure what type, but initially when I plugged it into my PC (Mac with VM Ware), using the Windows side, the window displayed a shortcut instead of the actual contents. I had to double click that Icon to open the actual contents. After using 3 different antivirus programs, all which said the computer was clean, it wasn't. So, my last ditch effort was to download Panda usb vaccine. That may or may not have worked, but, at the end, now when I plug the drive in, I still get the Shortcut displayed, but when double clicking on it, I get a message (With RunDll on the top header), reading "There was a problem starting ~$WOFBW.FAT" "The specified module could not be found."

I had this posted on the Malware forum, and they suggested that I post this here.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried your drive on another computer or in OSX on yours to insure it's not just a problem on your VM?
