Lost Images in Incredimail and Outlook Express

I have all images blocked in Incredimail. I checked my emails in Outlook Express, and the same thing is happening. I have booted in safe mode (WinXP Pro) and the images appear with no problems. I have tried booting in Diagnostic start up, and the images are blocked. I went into Outlook Express and unchecked "Block downloaded images", and it did not help.

I have called Incredimail and they said there is a program conflicting with Incredimail..... no help at all. Apparently the same program is conflicting with Outlook Express as well.

Any idea as how to trouble shoot this would be appreciated.

 

More info needed. What protection apps (firewall, anti-virus, anti-malware) are you using? Did you make any software changes about the time the problem started?

 

I use ESET NOD32 Ver4, Malwarebytes, spyware terminator, and sometimes scan with spybot. The only software that I have recently added is Mailwasher Pro.

 

Can you temporarily disable Mailwasher Pro to see whether it's the cause of this problem?

 

I have removed Mailwasher Pro, and Spyware Terminator. Still having the problem with blocked images in both Outlook Express and Incredimail.

I had used the System Configuration Utility, and did not realize that it would remove all my system restore points. I also have a program "Uniblue Registry Booster" that I have used in the past, and I checked the "Restore" function, and it can restore my registry back to before I was having this problem. Do you think that would be worth a try?

 

Yes, restoring the registry to an earlier date is probably worth a try. But, back up your registry before you do that, just in case you need to restore it back to the current date. A reference: How to back up and restore the registry in Windows XP

 

Well, I tried restoring the registry to a date prior to the problem, without any luck. Then I used Acronis to restore my hard drive, and that did not help either.

I do not have any problem with the internet, or any other programs, and I can view images in my e-mail as long as I am in SAFE MODE, but when I reboot and go into normal mode, I loose the ability to view images in my e-mail.
