Lost Outlook

First I did something stupid and lost Outlook (WINDOWS XP, Outlook 2003). I finally restored it (not sure how) but all my contacts are gone and when I try to make a new contact, the following appears: "The contacts folder associated with this address list could not be opened; it may have been moved or deleted, or you do not have permissions. For info se help...". I think I need some help , and to make matters worse when I open explore, I have various files (and a whole shite load in the WINDOWS folder and all the subfolders are blue with titles like :$NtUninstallKB842773$. I think it is safe to assume this is not normal. Please help.....anyone......please...

 

Have you tried a system restore?
