Lost Printer Communications

I have a Windows 7 HE computer connected by Ethernet cable to a Charter cable router. I also have an HP printer/scanner connected to the same router but via Wi-Fi. Recently, I changed the Wi-Fi Network name for the router and now everywhere I look on my Windows computer the status of the printer shows "offline". This doesn't seem to cause any issues with the cell phones in the house, they all connect just fine, it's just the printer. I also notice the printer shows up on my cell phone as an available network! So I assume my computer is having an issue with the new address or something but not sure where to look for that.

BTW, I also have another computer (Linux) connected to the same network, and it has no issue finding and communicating with the printer. It prints and scans.

Sounds like the printer is ad-hoc and not infrastructure mode now. Breaking it down, the printer is an access point for devices to connect and print, where as previously the printer joined your local wifi where your wired devices could use it. How is the Linux PC connected? wired or wireless?
So join the printer back to your local wifi.

Sorry about that, the Linux computer is connected to the router by way of Ethernet cable as well.

I was curious, so I just tried to send a document to the printer from my cell phone using adobe pdf viewer and it gives me the message, "This printer isn't available right now." I even tried to "Add a Printer" to my phone using the printers IP Address and it says that it can't find a printer at that address, even though they are both connected to the same network.

The thing is, all WiFi devices around here are connected to the same WiFi router/network, including the printer. When I try to send a document from my phone to the printer, it gives me a couple choices for printers to choose from, one is Wi-Fi Direct printing, which is turned off and the other is the my printer showing the IP Address that shows on the "Wireless Summary" readout on my printer.

Hope I'm not getting things mixed up here, I'm just looking to see how all devices are responding to the printer

I'm thinking I might just go through the Wi-Fi set-up wizard on the printer and let it do its thing as opposed to me just typing in the new Network Name manually like I did.

Well, I ran the wizard on the printer and the cell phone works now but windows is still showing offline.

OK, so I went to the HP software that's installed on my computer, clicked on, "Update IP Address" and let it install a new printer. Seems it wants to do more than just let me print, it also wants to install Web Services, whatever that is and then it wants to install the "Latest Smart Software". I have it hanging at that point in another browser tab and went and opened up Notepad to jumble in some characters to print and Bingo, it printed it out.
Went back and printed out Document from cell phone and that still works. Annnnnd, Linux is printing as well!

    Thanks!
