Lost product key for a genuine product (office home and student 2007)

I have been using Microsoft office home and student 2007 .I was recently prompted to re-enter the product key . I have long lost the key and I am hoping I wont have to pay out again for a product whichI already purchased once before . I have tried programs like rockxp and magical jelly bean ,but these programs do not register officeas being installed . I have tried various keys which I have found online . These get me past the first screen which asks for the product key but then the next screen asks meto register onlineor by phone and so far all these keys have failed at this point . Please help if you have any ideas , anything other than giving bill gates more of my hard earned money lol .

The situation is this , I have had office installed working fine for a year , then I get prompted to enter the key again as a routine check (or moneymaker for microsoft)So office is clearly installed on my computer I can see it there Ijust cant use the tools ,it ison limited functionality .

So I use the keyfinders , they find every other key for every other microsoft program except office . It treats it likeit is not installed .

Then I use a key code from the net . It gets past the first screen and onto another where I am asked to install or custom install (strange as it was never uninstalled) I choose install and without any green progress bars or time I get a successfully installed message , then another screen telling me to register the product online orby phone . It is at this point that I am told the key is not valid for the product .

So after all this I use the key finder again and it locates microsoft office and its product key BUT , BUT BUT it is the fake , useless product key which I entered and not the actual key that i got with my genuine product .
