I am running a Belkin F5D7230-4 Router and had the WEP password written down on a piece of paper. This evening I can no longer find it. I know what the password is spelled out using the alphabet - my question is is there any way to code it back into WEP? Thank you for your time and help.

If you have the IP address for it then go in and reset it.I had a password problem with mine and called Belkin and they walked me through it.

My Dlink has little reset hole, Insert paper clip this returns it to factory settings thus erasing password

Thank you for your responses. I did get the key. I logged into the router and clicked on security and there it was. Simple.

best bet would be to make the password something that is common to you only and easy to remember my wireless router has a combination of letters and numbers 20 to be exact and are firmly embedded in my brain no need to write them down.

This is what I have done as well iwunderdownunder. The first one was numbers and letters that did not work. Now I have something that I use a lot:-D so I won't forget it.
