Well about three days ago my internet explorer started acting strangley. I immediately suspected spyware of course. It was blocking all Active X programs on all the webpages and all of a sudden I had some weird "Information" bar popping up. So I went in and reset my Active X access options and that's when all hell broke loose. I was in the belly of the beast my friends, knee deep in a spyware shi*hole. None of my freebies could kill this one. SpyBot and Adware were rendered usless. It would regenerate itself immediately after being cleaned, each time creating some 50 spywares and everytime in different configurations.... Bridge, coolwebsearch, vyxis?, daily toolbar, alexes...etc. Even on a re-boot with nothing else running except spy-bot, I couldnt kill it.

Not wanting to let these basta*ds cost me any money on a purchased spyware killer, I resorted to wiping my HD.

Anybody got any idea what this was and where it came from? I am pretty diligent about my computers.

    Thanks,
    Thomas
