Lost Windows 98

Okay, here how it goes. Can't get windows up, put in the 98 disc to reinstall windows and this is what happens. Setup Interrupted error #65, than it wont install 21 files which are: gml6.dls,framebut.drv,WEBVW.DLL,WININET.DLL,winmm.dll,winnet16.dll,WINTRUST.dll,XENROLL.DLL,script.doc,keyboard.drv,mciavi.drv,vga.drv,mciseq.drv,mciwave.drv,icwip.dun,icwx25a.dun,icwx25b.dun,icwx25c.dun,obeip.dun,actmovie.exe. Than it would not complete setup of windows. What can I do? Or is the disc I am using no good?

 

Did you use a floppy boot disk first to format the drive.

Do you have your original Win98CD? You might have to use this and do a reformat to your hardrive, if you don't know anyone with a boot up disk.

Place the CD in your computer and it might restart your system. Warning: it may erase your information.

Do you have a backup and all your original CD's for software and your drivers?

Well, I would insert the Windows 98 CD and proceed from there. More than likely you will have to reformat your hdrive and start from scratch.
