I think I must have lost Windows Installer using maybvew Revo Uninstaller, CClean or some other way, and messed up the registry somehow. I'm a bit scared to use the Win 7 repair disk 32 bit I created; I might mess things up further. I've tried to download a 32 bit installer update to no avail; it says it's not compatible with my version of Windows (Professional, SP1). I've gone into Services to do it manually. Anyhow, does the Win 7 repair disk have a fix for the lost Win 7 installer? If so, I might give it a try if you can provide some guidance in doing so. I have everything backup in Carbonite, Seagate external drive, Acronis True Image, memory sticks, etc. and run sfc /scannow at least twice a week. I greatly appreciate any help you all can provide in restoring the installer. ec

Thanks for your response. Yes, I've tried it countless times. I haven't been able to restore from any restore point listed for months. This is another problem that's been driving me crazy. I think I've tried just about everything there is to get Windows Installer back. Thanks, again. ec
