Lots of Virus and Spyware problems

    Im having lots of problems. I ran the procedure that you wanted us to run but Im still getting random pop ups. I think there is still a virus on here too. The last thing I did was run norton antivirus and it found three adware but only deleted two. I will attach two log files, one from Hijack this and the other from bitdefender. Any help would be apprciated. Thanks in advance.

    You seem to be one of the lucky many of people getting hit by the new wave of Look 2 Me problems. There are annoying as some of the tools we have been using to easily fix this not longer work properly.

    Download HOSTER and then follow the below steps.
    • Unzip Hoster to a convenient folder such as C:\Hoster
    • Run Hoster.exe, click Restore Original Hosts and then click OK.
    • Click the X to exit the program
    Now follow the procedures in Look2Me VX2 Removal

    However note: after running option 2 the PC normal reboots and continues with the second part of the fix. The new breed of infections are blocking it. So after reboot you will need to locate the file named second.bat in the L2MeFix folder and run it yourself so you can get the complete log.


    Also download the below as we will probably need them. Do not run them yet! Just download them and be ready to use them.

    I did everything you told me to and It seems to be working better, But Ive only been using it for like 5 mins. But so far no pop-ups, where as before there was one very often. But I am cautiously optimistic. Will post again if I encounter any more problems. The Logs are included.

    My browser is still redirecting websites to advertisements. Guess its not fixed. Its less frequent now though.

    Well those tools fixed some of the Look 2 Me infection but not all of it. This is a newer form.

    Please download and install Spy Sweeper This is a trial version that will work for about 15 days. It may help with this problem. Run it once in normal boot mode and save the log. Then reboot into safe mode and run it again. Try to save this log too without overwriting the first one. Now reboot in normal mode and come back here and attach both of these logs. Also in a second message, attach a new HJT log.

    Ok Did all of that. Here are the two logs. I think Im still getting pop ups though.

    Okay! So are you or aren't you getting popups? The HJT log indicates that the Look 2 Me infection is gone.
