lspfix messed

K i downloaded lspfix as someone told me and i restarted my computer as it told me then when i logged back in i was unable to connect to the internet.. I really dont know what to do and i was wondering if anyone in here would be able to help.. When i push repair on the connecting it says unable to refresh the ip and to contact the isp.. I was just hoping there would be an easier way..

 

What OS are you running?
Have you checked to make sure your network cable is secure?
If you are running wireless have you tried powering down the wireless access point and powering back up?
Also, you can try turning off the broadband modem and turning it back on, wait a few seconds in between.

Some simple solutions to try. Post back and let us know what happens.

 

Ok well i tried all that stuff you told me to do but none of those steps seemed to do anything to the connection.. It says that the internet is working i just cant browse the internet. When i right click on the network connecting icon and click repair it says Unable to refresh ip, please contact your isp. Its like when i ran that ISPFIX program it got rid of some needed files.. Cause it was right after i restarted my computer as it told me to do that i started having these problems.. I looked up on the ISPFIX notepad and it gave me a web site but all it had were steps for Windows up to me and not windows XP.

 

May be this can Help: Basic Steps in cleaning Internet "Junk".

 

Alright i have a new problem now.. I Called my computer guy and we went through some steps and found out that it is my Winstock Reg keys have been corrupted.. He told me to go to microsoft.com and follow some steps that they have there to fix them.. Well when i went there and followed those steps it has me delete the winstocks and then uninstall my internet protocol.. When i went to do this the uninstall option was dimmed so that i was unable to uninstall it.. If anyone has easier ways or another way to fix these corrupted files i would greatle appretiate the help especially since this is my moms comp that i messed up.. But other than that i think that i might just call microsofts technical help and wait on the phone for 2 hours trying to get help haha..
