Luhe.sirefef.A or ZeroAccess|Root.MBR

    Hello! My name is Gary, My AVG antivirus says that I have Luhe.sirefef.a virus and that I have to remove it manually:confused. my computer is running fine but I want to clear this up before I have issues or something does go wrong.
    my system is:

    HP
    Windows 7 Home Premium
    AMD E-450 APU w/Radeon HD Graphics 1.65 GHz
    4.00 GB (3.61.GB usable)
    64-bit Os

    My AVG started spamming a virus threat luhe.sirefef.A :confused

    Rerun HitmanPro and have it delete everything EXCEPT this entry:
    • C:\Windows\system32\services.exe

    With that you should use the option to REPLACE.

    Please do so and rescan and attach the latest log for me to see.


    Copy the bold text below to notepad. Save it as fixME.reg to your desktop. Be sure the "Save as" type is set to "all files" Once you have saved it double click it and allow it to merge with the registry.

    Make sure that you tell me if you receive a success message about adding the above
    to the registry. If you do not get a success message, it definitely did not work.

    Now rescan with RogueKiller and attach the latest log too.

    Let me know how things are running.
