.m4a meta tags driving me crazy

ok idk if this is in the right section
heres the deal, i have all my mp3's and m4a's that i want to put on my card and play on my phone on my computer. i want all the tags to be there so i know the artist, album, etc on my phone.
all the mp3's show up with their tags fine. the problem is the m4a's. in itunes there is artist and album info for everything, but when i right click and go to properties in windows explorer, and then go to details, there is no place to even put artist, title, or album
a simple solution i thought would work would be downloading a metatag editor to edit the tags. to my surprise, when i open up a m4a file in the meta tage editor i downloaded, all the tags are there like they would be in itunes. so i cannot figure out a) why the tags arent showing up in my phone when according to itunes and my editor, they exist. and b) why i cant see them in windows explorer.

any help would be amazing...thanks guys

 

its an LG enV2 thats why i was so confused, if m4a's werent compatible with my phpne then i wouldnt be able to play them, but i can
ill give that tag editor a shot though

 

after using the tag editor you suggested, i get the same results. when i open a supposed tagless m3a, the tag editor confirms that there is indeed tags for that songs. but why wont my phone or windows explorer show them?

 

anyone?

 

this will be my last bump does anyone have any suggestions before i just convert everything?
