Mac and msn

okay, i have a friend who has a Mac, running OS 9, and shes been using msn 2 for the last however long...

she just downloaded msn 6 from the msn website, and it says it cant find the right files to isnstall msn, and when it finishes instaling, it installs the old version!!

Is there any sort of "installer information" or a temp folder that might need cleaning?

Shes tried uninstalling, rebooting, installing, rebooting....

I used to know a lot bout macs but these days i know virtually nothing....

 

Goldy........I remember seeing something back in February, about MSN 8 with IE6 coming out for MacOS X. But then there was some crap about about M/S delaying the MSN 8 because Apple was coming out with a new browser. I think it was called "safari" browser ???? I don't know what that had to do with M/S introducing MSN 8 for Mac's, but maybe the 8 isn't available yet ??? What version is it reinstalling? MSN2??
