mac/exchange

hello all.
I have a new mac book pro and I am trying to connect to my exchange server. I enter the info and receive a few emails, but then it stops. I close the program and relaunch, but then it doesn't run. Any ideas would be great.

 

There is a Mac Forum on here. Helps to know what version of Mac OS, what email program you are trying to use, if this is a personal home Exchange server, or work Exchange server.

 

Which mail app, work or personal exchange server, and what OS version are you using? As brownizs pointed out, we need a starting point.

 

I am not sure, I only see an icon for exchange. I am wondering if there is a option to get new emails first. It seems to be freshening oldest to newest and maybe the shear bulk of the email incoming is the problem?

 

I really don't know with that little of details.

I can tell you that there are spatterings of issues across the Internet with OS X Mavericks and Exchange in the included Mail app. Is that what you use?

You might want to consider Outlook 2011. Another that I have used, but don't know if it works with Exchange, is PostBox.

You can also try turning off the automatic setting for check new messages and set it to every 5 minutes.
