Machine slowed to a crawl..

Good morning all

Couple of days ago my machine started acting odd and has seemed to have gotten slower over time.

It takes an inordinate length of time to boot up and open programs when started.

On ocasion if I try to right click on something, I get the working hourglass and that's where it stops. I then have to reboot to get it going again or do anything else.

I have run a dozen AV scans, ccleaner, spyware removers etc etc. Each seams to find a little something but the problem persists.

I have gone thru the Do First Sticky and clean a few more items, but I guess I am missing something

So I give up and look to you for help before I do a complete reinstall..

Did you have problems running the Panda Online Scan ? That is the log you are missing!

You have HijackThis installed incorrectly:

You have it here --> C:\Documents and Settings\Gord Heieis\Desktop\hijackthis\Analze.exe


This is exactly where we specify not to put it. The instructions indicate:

- not a temp folder
- not on the Desktop
- no sub folder of C:\Documents and Settings

Please install it where recommended so that the backups created by HJT are in a safe location.

I see you have IE7 Beta 2 installed. IE7 is now final, you should update IE7.
