Macro options for GE 98058 Multimedia Keyboard

I am wondering if there is a way to manually edit the multimedia buttons on my GE 98058 keyboard. If there is no way then is there a free macro that recognizes multimedia buttons? I would like to know how the driver is controlling the actions. For instance when I use the "Music" button it opens VLC. The volume and mute work for Pandora.com even when in another program. Aside from buying a new keyboard that does all the custom stuff, I would much rather hack the one I have. Any advice at all would be welcome and thank you for your time.
