    Hi everybody,

since it's my first post in Major Geeks, I really hope that my question is not a stupid one ...

... I have downloaded a vast amount of internet security programs trying to get rid of a really annoying trojan, finally I did it but that is not the point ...

... acting like a real amateur I checked every security option in every program resulting in my system to be unable to install Macromedia Flash Player at all ...

... (I remember an option goes like "kill Macromedia Flash"), but do not remember in which program it was in ...

... plz, could anyone help me to restore my system in order to be possible to install Macromedia Flash Player?

Make sure your settings have not been changed for you in security settings. Goto tools then internet options then click on security then click on custom level in custom level make sure downoad signed active X is ticked to prompt and run active x controls is clicked on enable and file download is on enable.

    Hi,

thanks for your reply but the settings are the way you described and unfortunately no installation of flash player is possible.

I am afraid that the problem is quite more serious, so plz if you have any other ideas let me know.

    Thanks again.
