I just bought my first wireless router to give the kids their own computer, and installed Network Magic on both computers. It seems to be working fine, but on my desktop, there is a folder named "Network Magic Folders" that is just the standard folder icon and I can't open, explore, delete, rename, move, or add a folder to. I can still share no problem through the Network Magic window, but it just bothers me that the icon is there. I am running Vista and the other is running XP, if that matters. Thanks for your help with this minor inconvienience.

I use Network Magic (nearly 2 years) with two PC's (one Vista and the other XP, but on a wired network). I know you can't delete the Shared Folders icon, but mine moves and opens fine.
Try the NM tech support and see if they can help.

I know the original post here was a very long time ago, but I was having the same problem today. I finally was able to get the Network Magic desktop icon off of the desktop by going into the Pure Networks Network Magic dialogue box (searched for Network Magic in the search box under the Start menu). Then, under Tools-Options, I checked the "Hide Network Magic Folders Desktop Icon". That was the last desktop icon I had, now I can neatly use ObjectDock!
