I am new here and have been searching on the net with some help and wondered if anyone had experience with the majicJack?

I cannot use a cell phone in my house and a friend of mine told me about this and she got one and it works fine for her. I got one too but can't get it to work. I was on "live chat" typing with their teck support and they couldn't get it to work.

Now I have almost got it to work setting my audio to the default device, I can hear the other person on my computer but not on the phone and they can't hear me. So I was thinking of going to Radio Shack and taking my computer and Majic Jack and getting a microphone.

In the process of trying to find tech support on the internet about them, I found others also having problems which their tech support could not fix. They advertise they have an editor's choice award from PC magazine on their website, but a search on Pcmag for majicjack comes up with no results. Also saw there were complaints to the Better Business Bureau for charging during the 30 day free trial.

So now I am wondering if I should use this or if any of the phone numbers called or received through this deal are at risk? It is so cheap that if it works it will really solve a big problem for me. But if there are risks to this, I definitely don't want to do it.

Any experience with this would be appreciated.
