Major Conflict Please Help

I'm trying to help a friend out He down loaded his internet providers protection software (wide open west) & they never told him to remove any other protection he was using I was over trying to help out & after about & hour finally got on to the control panel to go to delete programs & could not find it he is running MS2000 OS Can anyone give me a guide how to help him fix this problem Not sure if you will need any other info

 

What security apps is he running now?
Which was he running before?

 

He has been running norton avg, & I believe spybot and put this new one in These programs are all still in

What are the new apps? Maybe we can find ways of cleanly removing them manually.

I know that Norton can be removed using the Norton Removal Tool, but maybe that isn't the direction we want to head???
