While waiting today for the forum to get back up and running, I spent a little time going thru the Downloads section.

I have to say we have got "the best" download site going, hands down.

I know what you mean. I love all the different things I see on the main site. It curbs my download addiction.

Interesting enough I did. Reformatted the desktop over the weekend and just got everything reinstalled last night, I spent about 2 hours looking for all the serial keys.

I came across Matt's Keyfinder Thing Lite http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=5253 so I am all set for next time........life saver. :D

Matt will be a happy bunny you love his app, I'm used to it as he's pimped it to me many times in PMs ;) ;)

Its one of those small apps you may not use all the time but is a lifesaver in allowing you to find and save your serials to many various apps, I know over time Matt is adding more that is recovers and allows you to save, so this is one app that just gets better.

*must remember to duck for cover @ 8:30am tomorrow morning when Matt gets online* you know I love your app Matt and just joking ;) :D ;)

Honestly, I find a lot of neat tools and toys around. I don't know if it was from here that I discovered Weather Watcher which I always run at home and at work (of course for different cities). I think it was also here that I figured I'd give Mozilla's Thunderbird a chance as well since I'm not a huge fan of Eudora anymore (not used it since I bought version 5).

I love tinkering around with a lot of cool programs and even some new spyware scanning programs as well since you never can have enough due to the fact that program A might find something and program B will find something else that program A didn't find.

Usually if there's something that interests me and I notice is flagged "new" then most likely I'm going to look at the screen shot and/or download it so that I can play with that program.

So you can see it's just not one program in particular. Just a conglomerate.

I used CD data recovery tool for the first time I usually look after them, found it in 20 secs flat, worked perfectly first time, this disk crashed media players and locked up windows and was scratched to death it had 2mm hole straight through the disk:eek: 5mb of bad sectors a good couple of thousand, the media file was almost unwatchable but I at least got to watch it :)

I typically download updates and new programs, daily at MG, for work. :) Though, at first, I was using ntcompatible.com to find new program updates, till I realized that most of the programs were hosted here. :)

Thanks guys, once we get the expanding menus, you will like it more. You will see Drives, for example, but unless you click it, it stays nice and neat to read the other menu items, but on clicking, it can expand for defrag tools, cleaners, recovery. As an example. It should make browsing the menu easier whether you need an expanded category or not. Going to do more office tools soon as well.

I read the article, and I find it very interesting. I might play around with the program, but I doubt that I'll be switching. I have to consider my girlfriend who also uses it too also since we share the same computer. :)

Although I might run it separately since that's what I used to do before when she was on AOL Communicator and I was on Foxmail (until I switched to Thunderbird).

Thanks a lot for the info.
