Major Help Needed Please Help Me With Windows

    I WANT TO THANK YOU ALL FOR THE HELP RIDDING THOSE NASTY VIRUSES..I STILL NEED HELP WITH THIS ILL PASTE IT FOR YOU SO YOU SEE IT....HERS THE PROBLEM>>>C:\WINDOWS\STARTM~1\PROGRAMS\STARTUP\MSWIN-~1.EXE' IS WHAT I GET WHEN DESKTOP SHOWS FOR THE FIRST TIME AT STARTUP WHAT IS IT AND HOW TO REMOVE IT\FIX IT\ANYTHING TO REMOVE IT PLEASE HELP ME:confused

    Welcome to Majorgeeks!

    Please follow our standard cleaning procedures which are necessary for us to provide you support. Also there are steps included for installing, running, and posting HijackThis logs as attachments.
    • Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support
    • Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.
    • Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.
    • After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis and attach a log:
    Make sure you also rename HijackThis.exe as suggested in the procedures. Use analyse.exe for the new name. This is very important due to some new infections going around.​
    • When you return to make your next post, make sure you attach the following logs and that you have run these scans in the following order too:
      • CounterSpy
      • AVG Antispyware log - ONLY IF NEEDED you were not able to run CounterSpy
      • Bitdefender - from step 6
      • Panda Scan - from step 6
      • runkeys.txt - the log from GetRunKey.bat
      • newfiles.txt - the log from ShowNew.bat
      • HijackThis
    NOTE: You can only attach 3 files in a single message so it will require that you use two messages to attach all of these logs!

    major problems with my computer

    im having trouble getting into rooms i normally go into they are not appearing to me the spcn site freeware and shareware is up every night i ran hijackthis and i removed something bad i think can someone take a look at my computer by crosslooping or remote access please its not going to fix it by malware removal i think i need some files restored

    HEY TIM SORRY BOUT THE DOUBLE POST BUT I THOUGHT IDE RUN A HIJACKTHIS LOG FOR YOU TO SEE IF THERE IS A PROBLEM ON HERE AS WELL SORRY I DIDNT DO THIS THE FIRST TIME..PLEASE HELP ME OUT IM SO LOST WITH WHY IM RUNNING SLOW AND SLOPPY FILES MISSING AND ROOMS NOT SHOWING THAT THEY ARE THERE WHEN THEY REALLY ARE..PLEASE HELP:cry

    Major Help Needes Still

    HERES MY ANALYSIS FOR HIJACKTHIS IM NOT SURE WHAT THE DEAL IS I REMOVED SOMETHING OFF THE HIJACKTHIS LIST BY ACCIDENT AND I HAVENT BEEN ABLE TO GET INTO CERTAIN ROOMS I THINK I MESSED UP BADLY PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME HERE IS THE LOG YOU NEED:cry:cry, IN THE ANALYSIS LOG ILL TELL YOU I DELETED ONE OF THE NUMBER 10 FILES AND THEN DID A SYSTEM RESTORE TO 8 HOURS PREVIOUS AND IT STILL SEEMS TO HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM

    HJT is one of the tools we use to detect problems ...it is not a cure-all for your system (plus you did not rename it as directed). Removing one of your items in the winsock list probably did mess you up ....but we can only help you if you follow the instructions that I gave you.....that means running the scans and attaching the requested logs. Otherwise I have no idea what is going on in your computer.

    Tim I Am Doing The Tasks You Aked Of Me Right Now I Couldnt Do The Counterspy One For Some Reason It Wouldnt Let Me Install It Say Something Wrong With My Installer Should I Get Another Windows Installer ???

    OK TIM IM NOT THE BEST AT THIS COMPUTER STUFF BUT HERE IS THE FILE YOU WANTED I HOPE THEY ARE THE RIGHT ONES..AND IF YOU COULD PLEASE TELL ME WHAT ONES I CAN REMOVE WITH THE HJT PROGRAM PLEASE:confused

    First, turn your cap locks off.
    Second...you did not do as I asked:
    Use either Counterspy OR Avg-antispyware (and attach the logs)
    You re-installed HJT to your desktop (which is where we tell you not to install it) and again did not rename it: It should be ---> C:\Program Files\HJT\analyse.exe.
    Third ..I need these logs.
    • runkeys.txt - the log from GetRunKey.bat
    • newfiles.txt - the log from ShowNew.bat
    • HijackThis
    Go to start / run / type "msconfig" without quotes and then go to the startup tab and tell me what is there.
