Major Newbie: newfiles & runkeys post

    Hey all, hoping someone can provide some feedback on my attached newfiles.txt and runkeys.txt posts. Still learning the rules of the road, so please bear with me.

    What steps should I take at this point?

    Please attach your HijackThis log and the logs from BitDefender Online and Panda ActiveScan.

    Thanks for responding Shadow Puter Dude, but I'm going to need to end this thread. The client decided on a HDD wipe & OS upgrade. Again, thanks for the response.

    Wiping the drive and reinstalling most likely wasn't necessary. Your clients call, if that's what they want to do.

    I agree, completely; I tend to recommend AGAINST such practices unless absolutely necessary. Thankfully, its a secondary PC and doesn't have much more than a few games & MSO installed.
