New poster to these forums as of today so please be gentle! Thanks...

I have spent a considerable amount of time, money, and effort into trying to ensure that my operating system(s) were properly backed up prior to having an Apple representative replace my hard drive for free due to the possibility of early failure due to overheating of the bearings.

I am running an iMac all in one computer new within a couple of years. I previously owned Windows PC's for over 30 years so my switch to the Mountain Lion operating system from Apple has been a gradual one as I migrate my applications and data from Windows to Mountain Lion while becomming familiar with the differences.

I have setup as a dual boot system Mt. Lion on first partition and Win 7 Ult. On a second Part. After trying several alternatives for backing up my computer I ended up with a Western Digital Mybooklive network drive so that I could use one device to backup both operating systems. Finaly got the backups accomplished using the apple Time Machine utility and Windows backups including a system image.

Sorry for being so long winded...

After the Tech installed my new hard drive I sucessfully restored my Mountain Lion op syst. However I have been through H___ trying to restore my Windows image. I believe at this point it may have something to do with the Boot Camp program/drivers that Apple furnishes for the iMac drivers, etc.
WD will not support my problem because I didn't use their own Backup program even though they say you can use windows backup. Apple won't support me because it is not their operating system. I contacted Microsoft and received very little help until I paid $100 for 30 days of support which is getting me nowhere. They seem to have less knowlege about my problem than I do. They keep serachin the web for answers ant trying various thing over and over with no success. I have tried searchin for answers myself but it seem there is not much out there for this problem.

Any suggestions would be very appreciated!! Thanks in advance!!
