    Greetings, Bjed...

Short answer: 'yes'...it's called slipstreaming, and, in lieu of trying to explain the intricacies here, you might be better served by Googling for 'slipstream XP' - there are several excellent articles/tutorials out there...

    Good luck!

Another option: make an image of your hard drive.
I run Acronis True Image, a paid program. After I install it, I run the wizard and burn an emergency boot CD. Then I can uninstall the program.

I use the emergency boot CD to boot the computer. It loads Acronis True Image into a RAM disk. From the program, I can create an image either by burning to CDs, burning to DVDs or putting the image on an external hard drive connected through the USB port.

I now have an image. If the computer refuses to load windows, I can restore the computer to the exact state it was in at the time I made the image.

I try and create an image on my hardest working computer about once a month after I've done the windows updates.
