Making a Network Key

I am not sure this is entirely possible, but what i want to do is make a USB Key for my wireless network, that will allow the computer to connect to the router as long as the USB stick is plugged in but once it is pulled out they are disconnected.

I am sorry if this doesn't make sense letme know and i will try to clairfy, and like i said i don't know if their is such a way to do it.

 

To my knowledge, this is not possible, unless you have a USB Wireless card.

 

I can't think of any way to do this either. There may be a way to do it with a script or something that the user would run from the key but that's beyond my knowledge and probably not worth the trouble of researching especially if it's just for a home network.

The easiest ways to allow and deny access would be to edit the mac address filtering or by changing the encryption key. Give the encryption key out when you want to allow access and change it when you want to deny access.

 

Google third factor authication, ie a phyiscal key with a code that would need to be setup, probably not feasible for home use. But like with world of warcraft you can buy an authicator, which then the code that is output on it becomes required to logon to the game. Banks and secure type areas use simliar setups.
