making pictures smaller in an email

When I email my mom pictures, she says they are big and take a long time to bring up on her computer. She has a slow computer at work and that's where I have to send them to. How can I make these smaller so it wont take a long time to bring up? I have Windows xp and my camera is a Samsung s730. After reading some other posts, I dont know how to use MS Paint. hehehe dont even know if its on my computer!

Gotta send Grandma pics of her grandkids ya know!

This is a very simple way to do that.
Download, install, and run TinyPic http://www.majorgeeks.com/TinyPic_d5459.html. Set Tiny pic for the finish size you want your pic. (always choose a size smaller than the actual) I usually pick 800 X 600. Click on the picture you want to send and drag it into TinyPic's blank window. It will create another picture in the same folder as the first one, which is now an easily e-mailable size.

There are other ways and other apps to do basically the same thing. Infranview, Photofiltre, and XnView (all photo editors) can do this, but it takes a minute to get familiar with them. Take a look in the Freeware Picks on the Home page, I think they are all there. If not, they are in the Graphics section.
