I did everything listed and updated all software prior to scans. MalWare found nothing so I did not post that log.

Again, my thanks for your help!

You need to attach it anyway as requested in the procedure. That is how we verify you have the correct/updated version which is important.

You also need to attach the log from MGtools before we can continue.

You did not tell us what malware problems you are having.

My apologizes, the logs are attached.

As far as problems go I am unable to find any nor is there any overt signs. The system slows down sometimes (I cant find a correlation). This has transpired over time on a single incident and it does not happen all the time. One place I do find it happening is while working - running MS word strange things start to happen in documents, I generally have more than one doc open, internet session (not fast but they also slow down... My work tends to use several applications. I can cleanup memory with System Mechanic but, it does not see to be an issue according to Task Manager. Rebooting generally resolves the issue.

I also have MagicJack (which does not perfom well), Skype, Itunes (which I will probably get rid of) and Quicktime. In addition Task manager which currently shows 12 svchost.exe processes (seems a bit overboard).

I am sorry I cant give a more definative explination ... your assistance is greatly appreciated.

That is not a log from Malwarebytes. It is a screen shot which is not what we needed. Logs are here:
    Code:
    "C:\Documents and Settings\PAP\Application Data\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\Logs\"
    Sep 9 2010 900 "mbam-log-2010-09-09 (19-50-52).txt"
    Jul 30 2010 1348 "mbam-log-2010-07-30 (14-56-23).txt"

However, don't even waste anytime with this now as you are not having malware problems. Nothing that you listed actually sounds like a malware problem. Most likely it is what you are running.

Do all the same problems exist in safe boot mode? Don't say I don't know. You need to test as this is an important step in diagnosing problems like this.

My first suggestion would be to totally uninstall all of you Sunbelt software and then reboot to see if anything changes. I have seen it be a source of problems like this.

I also would not recommend having the Iolo software loaded and running. It is also an antivirus and your should not have mutliple antivirus programs running as it will cause slow downs. Try uninstalling it too. You may find that the combination of Sunbelt and Iolo could be the heart of your problems. I don't say this is positively the problem, but they could be major factors and it is worth a try in order to debug your problems.

Also don't automatically load Outlook. It was running when you ran MGtools. Outlook uses tons of resources and even keeps a background Word process loaded. If you are not actively using Outlook, it should be shutdown and make sure the Word process it uses for editing terminates.

Also try not loading the below at startup and only run them when needed, the last of which I see as a total waste of system resources:

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [iTunesHelper] "C:\Program Files\iTunes\iTunesHelper.exe"
    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [cdloader] "C:\Documents and Settings\PAP\Application Data\mjusbsp\cdloader2.exe" MAGICJACK
    O4 - Startup: magicJack.lnk = C:\Documents and Settings\PAP\Application Data\mjusbsp\magicJackLoader.exe
    O4 - Startup: NetPerSec.lnk = C:\Documents and Settings\PAP\Desktop\Tools\NetPerSec.exe

You don't need a memory manager. Windows XP manages its own memory quite well. You also don't need a system tweaker. Most of them do very little to really enhance a PCs performance and frequently tweaking can cause more harm then good.

Your MGlogs.zip file showed your running processes and only 7 svchost.exe processes were running which is fairly typically depending upon what applications are running. I have 7 running on my system right now and do not even load as much at startup as you.
