   When I try to run or update Malaware Bytes, Trend Micro calls it suspicious and blocks it.
   
   Is this normal and can I work around it?

   Disable Trend Micro when you want to update. You may wish to alert Trend Micro about the issue.

   You are most welcome. As you have discovered, some of the bigger AV companies really do not pay much attention to some of the things they report on. Like false positives on programs aimed at keeping you clean.
