Hi - First off, thank you for looking into this.

I believe I followed all the steps to the letter (computer maintenance & removal)- took me 30 odd hours and my computer has improved - cheers! But it's still to slow and it has ghosting - I still want to throw it out the window. I am up to step 8. I will wait until I hear from you cyber wizards to continue.

    Cheers again - Future Perfect

Please let me know if I have missed anything out... Computers are scary, hope I did things correctly.

    Cheers - Future Perfect

Continue by downloading a tool we will need - Pocket KillBox

Save it to its own folder somewhere that you will be able to locate it later.

    Please delete these folders:
    C:\FOUND.000
    C:\FOUND.001
    C:\Program Files\Malware-Wiped
    c:\program files\Need2Find
    c:\program files\Winad Client
    c:\GatorPatch.log
    C:\Program Files\Video ActiveX Object

    Use add/remove programs to uninstall:

    J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 11

    Reboot and install:
    Java Runtime 6

Run HijackThis and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:

    O4 - HKLM\..\RunServices: [Micr Update] soundblaster.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Policies\Explorer\Run: [none] C:\Program Files\Video ActiveX Object\pmsngr.exe
    O21 - SSODL: buprestidae - {b59f3ba4-98da-4b5f-8a2d-7b56fb11140b} - (no file)
    O22 - SharedTaskScheduler: buprestidae - {b59f3ba4-98da-4b5f-8a2d-7b56fb11140b} - (no file)

    After clicking Fix, exit HJT.

Please copy the bold text below to notepad. Save it as fixME.reg to your desktop. Be sure the "Save as" type is set to "all files" Once you have saved it double click it and allow it to merge with the registry.

Now run Pocket Killbox by doubleclicking on killbox.exe
Choose Tools > Delete Temp Files and click Delete Selected Temp Files.
Then after it deletes the files click the Exit (Save Settings) button.
NOTE: Pocket Killbox will only list the added files it is able to find on the system. So when you do the below, if some files do not show in the list after pasting them in, just continue.

    Select:

    * Delete on Reboot
    * then Click on the All Files button.*(or on the folders option)*
    * Please copy the file paths below to the clipboard by highlighting ALL of them and pressing CTRL + C (or, after highlighting, right-click and choose copy):

    c:\windows\downloaded program files\WinadX.inf
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\ntkrnlpa.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\ntoskrnl.exe

    * Return to Killbox, go to the File menu, and choose Paste from Clipboard.
    * Click the red-and-white Delete File button. Click Yes at the Delete on Reboot prompt.

If you receive a PendingFileRenameOperations prompt, just click OK to continue (But please let me know if you receive this message!).

If Killbox does not reboot just reboot your PC yourself.

Now attach the below new logs and tell me how the above steps went.

    1. GetRunKey
    2. ShowNew
    3. HJT

HI - Felt like I won the lottery when I saw my IN box this morning - Ever so grateful for to you.

I could not find the "C:\Program Files\Video ActiveX Object" file to delete.
Things were slow but we are progressing. Everything else is completed.

    Awaiting your command Master Tim

    Your logs look clean.
You can run HJT again and have it fix these items:

    O9 - Extra button: Panda ActiveScan - {653D93AF-C741-4e5e-8C1B-59BA43F93E16} - http://www.pandasoftware.com/activescan (file missing)
    O18 - Filter hijack: text/html - (no CLSID) - (no file)
    O21 - SSODL: 0AGH0AF0 - {56624785-0AF8-5C40-34F3-26E477E47F9D} - (no file)

After choosing fix, just exit out of HJT.

You need to tell me how things are running and any other issues that you may still have.
