Malware and more...please help

    Problems becoming more pervasive...will list in order of what I think went wrong first...symptoms ....
    1. Could not and still cannot right click anything screen goes black, then comes back to slowly
    2. When attempting to do any system diagnostics for windows or dell (DELL LAPTOP LATITUDE D630/WIN XP PRE-LOADED (no CD) Professional version
    system will randomly shuts down and restarts(not consistently)
    Also, will randomly shut down and restart other times (writing document in word, surfing web)
    3. When attempting to use any item (especially add/remove) in Control Panel, get msg noted in topic description here, "Windows cannot find c:\windows\system32\rundll32.exe
    4. A-Squared found EXPLOIT.JAVABYTEVERIFY AND HOAX.WIN33.RENOS.KH, removed them???
    5. Loaded LockFolder XP 3.6 and when booting system, mozilla firefox loads automatically and has 157 (every time) tab loads of everstrike.com, literally
    paralyzes system for a few minutes...(have contacted them, no reply as of yet) then am able to close tabs
    6. Have run Hi jack and both A-squared…have logs if necessary…

    semi-literate in tech speak, geek novice here.....

    Welcome to Major Geeks!


    Please go through the instructions in the READ & RUN ME FIRST so we can look at your logs. If you can't do something, go to the next thing. If you can't do anything in normal mode, see if you can run anything in safe mode, although normal mode is our first choice. If you get any of the requested logs, please attach them here using the manage attachments button.

    Let me know how this goes.

    Abri did not ask for those logs! She asked you to run the READ & RUN ME and attach the logs that are requested in it. Please do this now.

    EXCELLENT....FOLLOWED ALL STEPS IN GUIDE...everything appears to be working well, feels safe, too precaution steps w/ commodo software/hardware firewalls...THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

    I'm glad things are working better now. If you'd like us to check your logs, please attach them. We do this because some forms of malware leave behind files which allow them to start up again.
