   hi everyone - I have some kind of malware on my computer that I can't get rid of - I have a red icon on the lower rh of my desktop, that is generating pop ups that say - you have a security problem, and I also have windows that are opening saying: "attn: if your computer is struck by the spyware.... etc etc"

   I just loaded the windows xp service pack 3 and the problem appears to be solved, for now at least.
