Malware from wifihack.org

Hi all,

I was visiting my Grandmother this weekend and was in dire-need of an internet. I unfortunately stumbled upon a website called wifihack.org and downloaded the tool they have and installed it (against my better judgement).

The tool is a malware or trojan shall we say, that brings up it's own window in full-screen and says something along the line of "Security threat found. Please register to unlock" where they take you to their website to buy a code.

This annoying screen blocks everything from running, kills taskmanager whenever I ran it, and of course starts up automatically on startup.

I managed to remove it from running on safemode (application installed as Roaming3windowsupdate.exe)

The problem I have now is it messed up my Internet Explorer (I have Internet Explorer 8, Windows 7) where I cannot find the address bar. I've restored IE to default settings, it is not on full-screen mode, and menu bar is checked.

Wondering if anyone could help me figure out what files it will install on my computer so I can get rid of it and help restore my address bar on IE 8.

Just wanted to update.

Re-installing IE 8 did not help.

I had to do a system restore and now the address bar is back again.
