Malware has hijacked my modem and i can't continue cleaning!! Error message 633!!

I have picked up something nasty yesterday and I have been following the Malware insctructions here. Have downloaded all the tools and was running each. When bug/virus or whatever hit windows firewall (I am running Winodws XP) kept blocking something from dialing out. This kept happening over and over again. Meanwhile my desktop has been arrested and all I had was a blue screen. I was still acessing through the start bar. I was able to download the malware tools and got as far as running Super anti spyware and malwarebytes. These two scans alone seem to have stopped the attack and I have gotten desktop items again. The computer is quiet and is not acting up as before but after malawarebytes I have not been able to log onto the internet to continue with combofix. When I attempt to log in the system gives me erroe message 6633 telling me there is something else using my modem. Modem work fines and was tested in another system. There is obviously a rogue phone dialer in there somewhere that has not released the modem. When I reboot and run the alt control window, there are all these processes running when the computer is only recently booted and I believe there should be little to no activity. The most noticeble processes running are something called svchost and others designated as LOCAL SERVICE. I checked the internet connection under tools to see of there is a proxy being run but that is not checked. How else can I find and remove rogue dialers???
