Malware Hell...

Here's my predicament... My copy of McAfee was dead in the water for like 3 months, never bothered to renew the subscription since, in this case, I had to buy a new copy. Now I replaced it hoping the accumulated problems would be sorted out, no dice... So I have aggressive rogue anti-spyware everywhere and a couple trojans (may have nabbed those).

I've ran scans in AdAware '07 and the '08 Beta, Spybot S&D, AVG Anti-Virus, Malwarebytes, and Rogue Remover. I tried it all and removed all but a couple worthy programs (keeping Spybot, AVG, and AdAware '07) Rogue Remover keeps the pop-ups and hijacking down for about an hour each scan, so obviously it's missing something... Here's my HijackThis scan, I'm pretty sure the xxyvuvss.dll is a problem as is the pmnnNgfE.dll, probably qyrtvmjr.dll as well; plus things I'm sure I haven't identified.

Also, is there a way to manually update my various programs' definitions files? I know how to do it for AdAware but as for the others I have no idea where to find current definitions or how to manually insert them.

 

Did you try SUPERAntiSpyware Free Edition? Those are Vundo files, and we may remove them automatically.

SUPERAntiSpy has been a member of the forum long enough to know that SAS is one of several scans we use to remove malware. As of yet, there's no single tool that will get rid of everything. Please go through the instructions in the READ & RUN ME FIRST and attach the requested logs. You should find some relief to the problem as you work through these procedures and afterwards one of us will check your logs to see what files remain that still need to be removed so the infection won't come back.
