    Hello,

I have a HP laptop running Windows XP - 32 bit.

On the 5th, while on the internet computer redirected to incorrect page so I ctrl-alt-del to close explorer. Seemed like there were no problems, ran a scan and nothing found.

On the 6th, computer began running slow on intenet and then would not load pages. Ran Malwarebytes and received threats, cleaned, rebooted. Seemed fine.

On the 7th, problem repeated. Ran Malwarebytes again, same result.

On the 8th, problems repeated so I began the READ ME section. After completion, DOJ virus showed on computer. Restore will not work, none of the restore points are valid.

    Thank you!

Double-click RogueKiller.exe to run. (Vista/7 right-click and select Run as Administrator)
When it opens, press the Scan button
Now click the Files/folders tab and locate these detections:

    • [ZeroAccess][FILE] @ : C:\RECYCLER\S-1-5-18\$b95c14748da5f3a5a9bc2ecddd28a4b0\@ [-] --> FOUND

Place a checkmark each of these items, leave the others unchecked.
    Now press the Delete button.
When it is finished, there will be a log on your desktop called: RKreport[2].txt
Attach RKreport[2].txt to your next message. (How to attach)
Do not reboot your computer yet.

Now rerun Hitman and have it fix everything it found.

Reboot and rescan with both RogueKiller and Hitman and attach those logs as well.

Be sure to tell me how things are running now.

    Thank you for your help.

    I have attached the reports.

I was able to begin using the internet without the DOJ ransom screen coming up. I have noticed to things in the add/remove programs area I can't remove; "1 Pok" and "OptimizerPro".

You can try using Revo Uninstaller to remove those programs.

Tell me what issues remain, if any.

    Things are running normal.

However, a routine Malwarebytes scan did find threats. Had Malwarebytes fix.

    Scan is attached.

You will need to toggle system restore to remove those traces.

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. You can uninstall RogueKiller and HitManPro.
    2. Go back to step 4 of the READ ME and renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it.
    3. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    4. If running Vista or Win 7, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    6. Goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders
related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    7. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link
