I get pop-ups with IE, Firefox was working until I dl'd the new version. Then it was so bad (stalling and crashing) that I uninstalled it all together. I get warning messages about program files, Norton has claimed to have removed the same trojan three times and I also get this error shortly after startup:

    Error Loading C:\Users\Rinderle\AppData\local\temp\mlJbyVoM.dll
    C:\Users\Rinderle\AppData\local\temp\mlJbyVoM.dll is not a valid Win32 App.

I ran the clean-up/Read & Run Me steps two days ago and everything was kosher for all of about 24 hours. I ran CCleaner and defragged this morning, but it seems to have only sped up the popups.

    Can someone help, pretty please?

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

The logs you attached are from 7/17 and they are all basically clean other than what was removed during the scans. This means you have become reinfected. You will have to run the four scans again and this time attach the logs immediately whether it looks like you are clean or not afterwards. However make sure that you first install the current version of Malwarebytes. You are 3 versions out of date already. Also make sure you update SUPERAntiSpyware to current definitions before running.

Thanks for getting back to me.
I did as advised, with an unfortunate blonde moment in the beginning: I updated SAS, but then spaced running it until after I was finished with MGtools and retraced my steps to make sure I didn't forget anything (ha!). I did run it last, but it didn't produce a report, I'm assuming because it didn't find anything.
I'm running on Safari now, because it is the only browser that didn't seem effected. I haven't had any issues since rebooting this last time, but I'm not ready to believe it is fixed yet.
Thank you again for helping me. I'll keep my eyes open for your reply.

    You were reinfected!!

It always has a log. See the instructions which show how to get the logs: SUPERAntiSpyware - running & getting a log

Looks like the scans took care of your problemsl; however you need to do the below.

Run C:\MGtools\analyse.exe by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator). This is really HijackThis (select Do a system scan only) and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:

    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7E853D72-626A-48EC-A868-BA8D5E23E045} - (no file)
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [QuickTime Task] "C:\Program Files\QuickTime\QTTask.exe" -atboottime

    After clicking Fix, exit HJT.

Copy the bold text below to notepad. Save it as fixme.reg to your desktop. Be sure the "Save as" type is set to "all files" Once you have saved it double click it and allow it to merge with the registry.
Make sure that you tell me if you receive a success message about adding the above
to the registry. If you do not get a success message, it definitely did not work.

    Now run Ccleaner!

Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it.

    Then attach the below log:
    • C:\MGlogs.zip
Make sure you tell me how things are working now!

    Hello again,
I did as advised in the last post. Here is the SASlog.txt file (though you probably don't need it now) and the MGlogs.zip file.
I received this message after running fixme.reg: The keys and values contained in C:\User\Rinderle\Desktop\fixme.reg have been successfully added to the registry.
Everything seems to be running great.
Please let me know what final steps I need to take.
Thank you so much for all of your help... you're a life saver!

    You're welcome.

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. You can uninstall SUPERAntiSpyware now.
    2. We recommed you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware as a scanner. It uses no resources except a little disk space until you run a scan.
    3. If we had you use ComboFix, uninstall ComboFix (This uninstall will only work as written if you installed ComboFix on your Desktop & renamed it like we requested.)
      • Click START then RUN and enter the below into the run box and then click OK. Note the quotes are required
      • "%userprofile%\Desktop\combo-fix" /u
        • Notes: The space between the combo-fix" and the /u, it must be there.
        • This will uninstall ComboFix and also reset hidden files and folders settings back to Windows defaults.
      • Delete the C:\combo-fix folder from combofix.
    4. If we had you download any registry patches like fixme.reg or fixWLK.reg (or any others), you can delete these files now.
    5. If running Vista, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    6. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    7. You can delete the C:\MGtools folder and the C:\MGtools.exe file. You can also delete the C:\MGlogs.zip
    8. If you are running Vista, Windows XP or Windows ME, do the below:
      • Refer to the cleaning steps in the READ ME for your Window version and see the steps to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points.
      • Then reboot and Enable System Restore to create a new clean Restore Point.
    9. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:

It looks like all is well. I ran through all of the steps outlined, installed the new updates, worked through the other links, and my pc is working like a charm. Yippie!
Thank you again for your help. I hope you have a great weekend!
