About a week ago my web server was infected with an Iframe virus. The virus will locate html files on the server and drop malicious lines of code in them causing visitors to the infected sites to be redirected to other sites that contains viruses. I am having a real hard time finding the source of the virus. Any help would be great.

    System Info:
    Windows Server 2003 SBS

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

I'm not sure what you want us to help you with. Iframe infections are not something we can typical help you with since scanners will not normally find infections like this. Normally it is up to the people designing the web pages to make sure their code is robust and that they are not using outdated insecure software to develop the designs.

You could run our READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide cleaning procedure on the infected server to see if we find anything, but odds are that if we find anything, it may not be related to your iframe issues. It would not hurt to run it though just to be safe. You need to manually remove the sections of code that are the source of the infection from all files.
