Malware in MGtools download??

    I am going through the "Read Me & Run Me First" posting from chaslang dated 04-11-09. When I get to downloading MGtools avast tells me it is infected and suggests I break the downloading connection.

    What gives??

    Thanks for the quick reply. I looked around a bit but did not find those two postings. Whew!! I'll download and keep on going. I have been nuggin' through the "Read Me ..." posting with a great deal of trouble due to multiple BSOD after a System Secure infestation courtesy of a possible former friend.

    Thanks again and please don't go too far.

    You're welcome.

    We have already gotten a fix from Avira. Kaspersky has responded and is working on a fix. We have not heard back from Awil (Avast) yet.

    I also sent them a note after continuous warnings from the resident 'On-Access Scanner' and finally figuring out how to get Avast to ignore MGtools. I've not gotten a response either.

    Some companies are just much better/faster to correct their issues. ;)

    If you want to post how you were able to get Avast to ignore MGtools that would be good since it could be of use to other people having similar problems.
