I apologize if this is the wrong forum for this post. I have gone through the READ & RUN ME FIRST Before asking for Support thread, as well as the Windows XP Cleaning Procedures (though i got a little confused with the system restore step at the end) and some of the Alternate scans. It didn't seem to find much but I will attach the logs that I got.
The problem is that my computer has, probably within the last 2 months, started sticking on start-up. It starts loading normally, and then it gets to the point where I can see the wallpaper on my desktop, but that's it, nothing else. And it just stops doing anything, like the computer doesn't even seem to be trying (sound wise anyway) to do anything. I have to switch it off at the back to restart it. Also, yesterday out of nowhere the icons for the shortcuts on my desktop just disappeared. First the icon for CCleaner disappeared, then like 5-10 minutes later, all the other icons disappeared. The word/title was there (i could see what the shortcut was for) but the icon was gone. Now they are all back, except for CCleaner it just shows an icon of a little piece of paper with what looks like a representation of a little browser on it, and a little (shortcut icon i think it is?) black arrow in the lower left corner of the icon, instead of the red CCleaner icon. In my start menu, the only icons showing up are for notepad (i was reading one of the .txt logs from the scans) and the windows live messenger icon. All the rest are the weird paper icon. The icons for control panel, help and support, etc. are there now, though when all hte other's disappeared yesterday, those icons had as well. I am wondering if this is a malware issue, or another problem which is why i wasn't sure where to post this. My computer has been making a fizzling noise, very annoying, and the only thing that seems to stop the noise is if i pull up task manager, though that doesn't work all the time. Because it is still under warranty i want to bring it in to have it fully checked out, but i want to save all my pictures/videos/music etc before i do that as they will do a clean install. But since i don't know much about computers I want to make sure that i don't have a malware issue that will be saved with all the music files etc, and then be put right back onto a newly serviced computer when i get it back.
Here are the logs from the scans i took..
I also ran the the AVG anti-spyware, but it said no report available and didn't find anything.

Well I guess it's good to know there isn't any malware hiding on my computer. Apparently I have to leave the computer with the shop for a week to have it looked at and i'm taking online classes which is why I was almost hoping it was something malware related so it could be fixed from here :(
    Thanks for your help :)
