I have been having issues with my pc running very slowly on certain sites (fb)
I figured it was the site but decided to run scans from here. I have a Lenovo running Win 8, 64 bit, Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU G3220T @ 2.60GHz, 4.00 GM ram. All logs are attached.

Thank you in advance for your help :)

Please run Malwarebytes again and this time fix what it finds.

Also run Hitman Pro again and then fix what it finds too. You will have to accept the free 30 day trial license in order to do this. Reboot after fixing.

After reboot, run a new scan with Hitman Pro and attach the new log.

Ok, have re-ran both and fixed all that both found. New log attached with it looks like nothing found :)
Thank you so much for your help chaslang :)

    You're welcome.

Now please download Junkware Removal Tool to your desktop.
    • Shut down your protection software now to avoid potential conflicts.
    • Run the tool by double-clicking it. If you are using Windows Vista or Seven, right-mouse click it and select Run as Administrator.
    • The tool will open and start scanning your system.
    • Note: That JRT may reset your home page to a google default so you will need to restore your home page setting if this happens.
    • Please be patient as this can take a while to complete depending on your system's specifications.
    • On completion, a log (JRT.txt) is saved to your desktop and will automatically open.
    • Attach JRT.txt to your next message.

Now copy the bold text below to notepad. Save it as fixme.reg to your desktop. Be sure the "Save as" type is set to "all files". We are only saving this to your Desktop at this time. We will use it later. Make sure that it shows up on your desktop as a registry patch. Notice the icon.
Then again reboot your PC. After reboot, run a new scan with RogueKiller and attach the new log. Also tell me if you are still having problems.

Do you have some software running that created/needs that proxy setting that shows in your RogueKiller log?

I'm really not sure?? All I know is I have a wifi connection, a printer/scan/copy/fax machine, a ps3, xbox and a few cell phones using my connection. Not sure what a proxy setting is, how would I find out??

Well most recently we have seen these loopback proxy settings being added due to some junkware/adware, but sometimes they are for games or some other software a person is running.

If you are not having any problems right now then I would not spend the time trying to remove them because sometimes it can be quite tedious especially if some piece of legit software has added them.

I do play the Microsoft Games - puzzles and solitaire. I am still having some issues it seems. When on fb, sometimes ravelry my ie will go white and at other times it flashes white. I then have to exit, clean cookies/temp files and then go back into ie. I am sorry I've not been on to respond, been so busy. Also, seems weird to me is before, when I opened ie the search bar was beside whatever open window I had, now all of a sudden it is on top of the open window. I've not changed any settings so it appears to have happened randomly. I can screenshot what is installed if that would help.

This may not be a malware issue.

    What search bar?

We already have a list in your logs.

Back in message # 4, I asked you to create a fixme.reg patch and save it to your Desktop. Did you do this? If not, please do so now. Then double click on it and allow it to be added/merged to your registry. Then reboot your PC.

After reboot, run new scans with both RogueKiller and Hitman Pro and save new logs.

Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, Win7 or Win8, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator).

    Then attach the below logs:
    • the Hitman Pro log
    • the RogueKiller log
    • C:\MGlogs.zip

Run RogueKiller and run a scan. After it finishes the scan, select the Registry tab and then select any of the below that exist and then click the Delete button.

    Then immediately reboot your PC.

After reboot, run a new scan with RogueKiller and save a log as in original instructions and attach the new log.

How is your PC running now?

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware.
    2. Renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it in step 4 of the READ & RUN ME.
    3. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis. If you don't see it or it will not uninstall, don't worry about it. Just move on to the next step.
    4. If running Vista, Win 7 or Win 8, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Now goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click ( if running Vista, Win7, or Win 8 Right Click and Run As Administrator ) on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    6. If we had you download any registry patches like fixme.reg or fixWLK.reg (or any others) and running MGclean.bat did not remove them, you can delete these files now.
    7. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    8. If you are running Win 8, Win 7, Vista, Windows XP or Windows ME, do the below to flush restore points:
      • Refer to the instructions for your WIndows version in this link: Disable And Enable System Restore
      • For Windows 8 and 8.1 system restore see this link: Win 8 System Restore - How to enable/disable
      • What we want you to do is to first disable System Restore to flush restore points some of which could be infected.
      • Then we want you to Enable System Restore to create a new clean Restore Point.
    9. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:

thank you so much chaslang for all of your help :)

If you have the free version, it does not provide any protection. It is only an after the fact scanner which only needs to run when you perform a scan.

If you installed and activated the 30 day free trial, it needs to load at startup to provide the protection that it will offer until the 30 days are up. Then it becomes the same as above ( the free version with no protection ).

If you have a paid version then it needs to always run at startup in order to protect you.

Not really. It is a very low rated antivirus/antispyware program. It is free and better than nothing, but there are much better free pieces of software although they will all come with some form of baggage ( like a toolbar or reminders to try and get you to purchase the full version.
