The Virus Scan takes 55 hours to scan.

The Weekly Malware Scan did not detect Malware.

Anyway I executed Read & Run Me to see whether Malware is the Cause.

Hello Manilka, I just wondered why you are starting threads but not finishing them up?

It is a different machine. After running the Defragmenter Tool, last week, the Scan took only 9 hours. I thought of Running the Defragmenter Tool for Optimizing & Prioritizing even if it does not suggest.

I am unable to attend to the "database" machine as it is occupied during working hours and I was busy during the past few weeks to take it home and do the rest. Currently the user says it is very slow. I will proceed with required action when I can get the machine and update the system and run the routine Malware scan to see whether it speeds up. I wonder whether running the Defragmenter Tool for Optimizing & Prioritizing will speed up this machine also.

I was asked to refer the "Acer" Thread to the software forum and have done so. I could not attend to the "Acer" thread from the Software Forum as I was busy.

Re run Hitman Pro and have it remove the small bit that it's finding.

Apart from that I'm seeing nothing else to do.

The reason it's running slow is this:
The machine could do with some more memory.

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware.
    2. Renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it in step 4 of the READ & RUN ME.
    3. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis. If you don't see it or it will not uninstall, don't worry about it. Just move on to the next step.
    4. If running Vista, Win 7 or Win 8, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Now goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click ( if running Vista, Win7, or Win 8 Right Click and Run As Administrator ) on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    6. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.

    7. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:
