    iLivid <<< Uninstall this garbage.

If you do not use Windows Messenger Run this Disable/Remove Windows Messenger to remove Windows Messenger. Do not confuse Windows Messenger with MSN Messenger because they are not the same. Windows Messenger is a frequent cause of popups.

http://imageshack.us/a/img841/7292/thisisujrt.gif Please download Junkware Removal Tool to your desktop.
    • Shut down your protection software now to avoid potential conflicts.
    • Run the tool by double-clicking it. If you are using Windows Vista or Seven, right-mouse click it and select Run as Administrator.
    • The tool will open and start scanning your system.
    • Please be patient as this can take a while to complete depending on your system's specifications.
    • On completion, a log (JRT.txt) is saved to your desktop and will automatically open.
    • Attach JRT.txt to your next message.

    http://img805.imageshack.us/img805/9659/rktigzy.gif Fix items using RogueKiller.

Double-click RogueKiller.exe to run. (Vista/7 right-click and select Run as Administrator)
When it opens, press the Scan button
Now click the Registry tab and locate this 3 detection:

    • [RUN][SUSP PATH] HKLM\[...]\Run : UIUCU (C:\DOCUME~1\User\LOCALS~1\Temp\UIUCU.EXE -CLEAN_UP -S [x]) -> FOUND

Place a checkmark next to this item, leave the others unchecked.
    Now press the Delete button.
When it is finished, there will be a log on your desktop called: RKreport[2].txt
Attach RKreport[2].txt to your next message. (How to attach)
    Reboot the machine.

Are you purposely set up to use a proxy? If not then please include it in the fix below:

Please disable all anti-virus and anti-spyware programs while we do the following (re-enable when you are finished):

Run C:\MGtools\analyse.exe by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator). This is really HijackThis (select Do a system scan only) and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:

    • R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings,ProxyOverride = 127.0.0.1:9421;<local>;*.local
    • O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [UIUCU] C:\DOCUME~1\User\LOCALS~1\Temp\UIUCU.EXE -CLEAN_UP -S
    • O20 - AppInit_DLLs: c:\progra~1\search~1\datamngr\iebho.dll c:\progra~1\sk-enh~1\psupport.dll c:\progra~1\websea~1\sprote~1.dll

NOTE: HJT may popup an error about the AppInit_DLLs line. Ignore it and click OK to continue.

    After clicking Fix exit HJT.

    Download and run OTM.

Download OTM by Old Timer and save it to your Desktop.

    :Commands
    [emptytemp]
    [Reboot]
    • Return to OTM, right click in the Paste List of Files/Folders to Move window (under the yellow bar) and choose Paste.
    • Push the large http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2782/4174320048_f01c448b32_o.png button.
    • OTM may ask to reboot the machine. Please do so if asked.
    • Copy everything in the Results window (under the green bar), and paste it in your next reply.

NOTE: If you are unable to copy/paste from this window (as will be the case if the machine was rebooted), open Notepad (Start->All Programs->Accessories->Notepad), click File->Open, in the File Name box enter *.log and press the Enter key, navigate to the C:\_OTM\MovedFiles folder, and open the newest .log file present, and attach the contents of that document back here in your next post.

    Download Cleano 0.61

Download it to your desktop, Right click the cleano.exe file and run as admin > and place check marks in the boxes as follows (click on link below to see image)

    View attachment 148092
Click clean now and exit the program.

Can you re run Himan again, just a scan and attach the log.

Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it. (Right click and run as admin if using Vista, Windows7 or Win8) Then attach the new C:\MGlogs.zip file that will be created by running this.

Let me know of any problems you may have encountered with the above instructions and also let me know how things are running now!

I rebooted earlier and now when I try to run in Normal mode I get a "Bug Code USB Driver" error. I can run in Safe Mode but my printer is not recognized and I can not reload it in Control Panel. How do I get around this so I can print out the instructions?

  6. Kestrel13!

Are you able to print them out somewhere else, or better still, just copy my instructions into a word document or similar and review them that way?

  7. kewanee

I saved the page as a text file onto a USB flash drive. I will bring it in to work tomorrow and print it out there. It looks complicated and I want a copy to read from.

Also, how do I get rid of iLivid?

Go into add/remove programs and find ilivid in the uninstall listing. Uninstall it.

I uninstalled iLivid(it originally told me that it was already removed) and uninstalled Windows Messenger. Tomorrow I will print out the rest of the instructions and continue from there. Thanks for your help.

I made it through all of the instructions. I could not find lines 04 and 20 to delete. I only deleted R1. Everything is running, but very slow. That is going to be it for tonight. Thanks for your help.

I started my machine this morning and received a "Bug Code USB Driver" error, so I ran it in Safe Mode. When I opened up the Outlook Mail I still was receiving Canadian Pharmacy, Male Enhancement and Replica Watch spam. I believe I ran all of your instructions. I will wait for your further instructions. Thanks again for your help.

The OTM step still needs to be done, as does everything else that follows it.

I ran the OTM and everything after that last night. When I get some time tonight I will re-run them.

I only want you to run those steps once!! I just want you to ensure that you have indeed followed those steps (once) and are attaching what I requested. (Log from OTM, Hitman and the MGlogs.zip)

Re run Hitman and have it delete Potential Unwanted Programs.

What is surf and keeep? And why do you have two folders for it here spelt in different ways?

    • C:\Program Files\surf anD keep
    • C:\Program Files\Surf and keeep

If you do not use it I want you to uninstall it.

    This also: SK-Helper 1.74

Now explain, reclarify for me, bullet point it if necessary, what issues remain.

  23. kewanee

    kewanee Private E-2

I deleted the Surf and Keep program. There was only one in the add and remove programs. No idea what the program was for. Next I removed the SK Helper program. In the middle it told me a module was not found. I hit the "x" to close and continue.

As of now, the problems that I notice are:
1 I have to start in Safe Mode. I receive a Bug Code USB Driver error with the address 0x000000FE (0x00000004,0x862E7738,0x863A440,0x00000000)
2 I am still receiving Male Enhancement spam and Canadian Pharmacy spam.

Thanks for all of your help. It is much appreciated.

The bsod when you start in normal mode, and the spam in your Outlook account can be further discussed in the software forum. I am unfamiliar with outlook, or what version you are using, but I am sure that there are anti spam plug ins available for Outlook, also filters can be adjusted to help prevent it.

Run this one more time before I give you final steps.

Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it. (Right click and run as admin if using Vista, Windows7 or Win8) Then attach the new C:\MGlogs.zip file that will be created by running this.

Navigate back to where those file/folders were, are they still gone?

When I choose Administrator I get a reply saying that a device attached to the system is malfunctioning. If I try the other method it tells me I can not run it in Safe Mode.

Delete them manually then please. Reboot > Then navigate back and let me know if they are still gone.

I manually deleted the files that were in Documents and Settings. I did not see the programs under Program Files. I rebooted and did not see them under Application Data, but noticed a file called AppData that shows the Surf and Keep files there under my Sanitation and Sewer Autocad files. I believe they moved.

Also, previously when I rebooted it ran in Normal mode. I tried the OTE fix but it locked up. I am back in safe mode now.

Kestrel13! Super Malware Fighter - Major Dilemma Staff Member

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware.
    2. Renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it in step 4 of the READ & RUN ME.
    3. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis. If you don't see it or it will not uninstall, don't worry about it. Just move on to the next step.
    4. If running Vista, Win 7 or Win 8, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Now goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click ( if running Vista, Win7, or Win 8 Right Click and Run As Administrator ) on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    6. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.

    7. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:

  33. kewanee

    kewanee Private E-2

I have completed the final instructions. Thank you for all of your help. Next I will visit the software forum site to see about the spamming problem and the Bug Code error.:-D
