Malware logs

I am having troubles with my PC and I've followed Chas' directions.

Here are my issues since Saturday1/17/2010:
1. I cannot open Outlook, Excel, and Word. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Office with no luck.
2. It takes a few attempts to open IE8. Most times when I Google search and select the link I get redirected.
3. My CD/DVD ROMS will not work even though I've tried to reinstall the drivers.
4. A few of my USB ports have died.
5. My Windows Restore Points will not finish
6. When I try to boot in safe mode, it hangs on Sys32\Drivers\Mup.sys and will not continue.
7. I try to do a Windows Update and the page constantly shows a red X and says to try back later

I think that my wife was playing around on Facebook before the problems occurred.
