I followed all of the instructions here except for the bitdefender and pandascan options because they wouldn't allow me to run them due to activeX controls.I still have an icon in my taskbar that i cant closed and pops up a window saying that my computer is infected click here to get all available software to fix it which takes me to Spy Falcon's website. Also, after following all of the removal procedures that I could, while playing Warcraft 3 i found myself getting alot of lag. I restarted the computer and noticed that i was getting the same low system performance like when i was playing the game. Attached is my HJT log.

    Welcome to Majorgeeks!

Your OS is way out of date with updates and represents a major security risk and your IE version seems to be corrupted. You must get updated after we fix your malware problems. You also have no antivirus and no firewall install. You are begging for problems!

Please run the below procedure and attach the smitfiles.txt log.

    SpywareQuake Removal Procedure

Then follow the directions in step 7 of the READ & RUN ME properly. You have installed HijackThis exactly where step 7 indicates not to install it.

Make sure viewing of hidden files is enabled (per the tutorial).

Please run HijackThis and click on the Open the Misc Tools Section button on the open page. Then select Open process manager on the left-hand side. Look for the following process (or processes) and one at a time kill them by selecting it and then click Kill process. Then click yes.
    C:\ed.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\atmclk.exe

After killing all the above processes, click Back.
Then please click Scan and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Antivirus Installer] C:\ed.exe
    O9 - Extra button: EmpirePoker - {77E68763-4284-41d6-B7E7-B6E1F053A9E7} - C:\Program Files\EmpirePoker\EmpirePoker.exe (file missing)
    O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: EmpirePoker - {77E68763-4284-41d6-B7E7-B6E1F053A9E7} - C:\Program Files\EmpirePoker\EmpirePoker.exe (file missing)
    O9 - Extra button: PartyPoker.com - {B7FE5D70-9AA2-40F1-9C6B-12A255F085E1} - C:\Program Files\PartyPoker\PartyPoker.exe (file missing)
    O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: PartyPoker.com - {B7FE5D70-9AA2-40F1-9C6B-12A255F085E1} - C:\Program Files\PartyPoker\PartyPoker.exe (file missing)
    O9 - Extra button: WeatherBug - {AF6CABAB-61F9-4f12-A198-B7D41EF1CB52} - C:\PROGRA~1\AWS\WEATHE~1\Weather.exe (file missing) (HKCU)

    After clicking Fix, exit HJT.
Boot into safe mode and use Windows Explorer to delete
    :
    :\ed.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\atmclk.exe

If you get an error when deleting a file. Right click on the file and check to see if the read only attribute is checked. If it is, uncheck it and try again. Other wise open Task Manager and kill the process if running then delete the file.

Now if running Win XP goto c:\windows\Prefetch and delete all files in this folder.
Now run Ccleaner (installed while running the READ ME FIRST)
    .

Now reboot in normal mode and post a new HJT log.

Make sure you tell me how things are working now.

Reminder Note: Once we have determined you are malware free you will need to disable System Restore, reboot, and re-enable system restore per step 1 of the READ & RUN ME. This only applies to if using WinXP or WinMe.
