I recenly reimaged my computer, after several years. Im running dual proc 2.6mhz with 1 gig ram. While i was on vacation, my ****up roommates decided to download a bunch of porn and other **** onto my PC from "questionable" websites.
Since them i have noticed a dramatic decrease in performance, as well as my computer "hanging up" for no apparent reason at random times. I can only assume that this is due to some sort of malware that my roommates inadvertently downloaded.
Im running Windows XP home edition, SP2 will all the updates, With lavasoft AdAware SE, Windows Defender and CA Etrust EZ antivirus. They are unable to detect any kind of malware on my computer. Normally under these circumstances i would just reimage my PC and spend the 2-3 days getting everything running again, but I recently moved and am now on a dialup connection. It would take months to download all the patches as well as all the most recent drivers, etc. This is truly a nightmare for me, PLZ HELP

The HijackThis log file is as follows: (its also included as an attachment)

It wont let me edit my post. , Anyways That hijackthis log file is the one from before i ran the online analyzer program, as well as changed the file name. I have since then removed the 2 entries listed as questionable, and rebooted my computer. The new file is here...However, the Performance problems persist, my computer continues to hang up randomly for no apparent reason, and the performance is seriously lacking, considering the setup that i have. I wonder what could be the cause of this? some kind of malware that isnt detected? I reimaged my hard disk like 2 weeks ago, this is very frustrating for me. (Please note i am unable to do many of the online scans requested by your admin posts due to my incredibly slow connection speed... 28.8bps..high speed internet is not available in the area i am living in now)

    Welcome to Majorgeeks!

Your problems may not be malware! It could just be due to the load that that Security Suite Software you installed is putting on your system. However the only way to know if you have malware is for you to run the required cleaning steps! HJT logs alone are far from adequate statements on your malware status.

Please follow our standard cleaning procedures which are necessary for us to provide you support. Also there are steps included for installing, running, and posting HijackThis logs as attachments.
    • Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support
    • Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.
    • Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.
    • After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis and attach a log:
    Downloading, Installing, and Running HijackThis

Make sure you also rename HijackThis.exe as suggested in the procedures. Use analyse.exe for the new name. This is very important due to some new infections going around.

    • When you return to make your next post, make sure you attach the following logs and that you have run these scans in the following order too:

      • [*]runkeys.txt - the log from GetRunKey.bat
        [*]newfiles.txt - the log from ShowNew.bat
      • CounterSpy - ONLY IF you were not able to run Windows Defender
      • Bitdefender - from step 6
      • Panda Scan - from step 6
      • HijackThis
NOTE: You can only attach 3 files in a single message so it will require that you use two messages to attach all of these logs!
