Malware Problems

Hey guys, I am having a really bad time with my computer and all. I've had virus problems before and I went to symantec for help. Cost me alot of money too. I don't want to have to do that again so this time I am here. After the guy from Symantec fixed my computer he made a reg file to restore my computer back to that point if needed. Now, my problem is that I worked on my computer for sometime since it wasn't acting right. Well enough, I had some pretty bad stuff on my computer and I didn't know where it had come from. I worked with my removal programs (Norton Internet Security 06 and Spybot SD) After removing some stuff my computer acted a bit better so I decided to use the backup file the symantec guy had set up for me. Turns out the malware I had was still working in the background afterward so it's not looking so well. I am now in a dark corner with no way out. My Spybot is being altered again and again by whatever is lurking around my computer. I have no where else to go. Please help.

Also, alot of my software has been distorted. My Windows Media Player and such as well. When I rolled back using the .reg file left by the symantec fellow, it ruined my NIS and rolled it back to 05 and now I can't reinstall 06 to help protect me from further infection. I hope I can get help soon because this thing is twisting my computer inside out.

Now more problems are rising. Errors and all kinds of horrible things. Please help soon I keep getting this pop up called dllhost32.exe - Entry Point Not Found
"The Procedure entry point InternetGetSecurityInfoByURLW could not be located in the dynamic link library WININET.dll." I've seen other people getting answers to their problems

Welcome to Majorgeeks!

Each time you add another message in your thread in an attempt to bump it to the top, you actually bump it to the bottom. We work from oldest to newest order so since your thread becomes newer each time you post, you only hurt yourself.

You also do not seem to have followed all the required directions since you only attach two out of the 5 or 6 logs required. So I will repeat the standard directions that must be followed below. You also still have this installed: MessengerPlus3 It should be removed as it is bundled with malware and not trust worthy.

Please follow our standard cleaning procedures which are necessary for us to provide you support. Also there are steps included for installing, running, and posting HijackThis logs as attachments.

Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support

Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.

Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.

After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis and attach a log:

Make sure you also rename HijackThis.exe as suggested in the procedures. Use analyse.exe for the new name. This is very important due to some new infections going around.

When you return to make your next post, make sure you attach the following logs and that you have run these scans in the following order too:

[*]runkeys.txt - the log from GetRunKey.bat
[*]newfiles.txt - the log from ShowNew.bat

CounterSpy - ONLY IF you were not able to run Windows Defender

Bitdefender - from step 6

Panda Scan - from step 6

NOTE: You can only attach 3 files in a single message so it will require that you use two messages to attach all of these logs!
