    Win 10 OS.
Is it ok to run both Malwarebytes (paid version) and IObit malware fighter (free version)? I know the rule is to ONLY USE ONE REALTIME BLOCKER. Just want to be sure.

You should only have ONE anti-virus program. But no problem having one active malware program and others that are manually run as needed.

Still a little confused, Tim. Is Malwarebytes considered an adequate anitvirus (malware vs. AV?) As mentioned, I'm running the paid version. I was also running Comodo antivirus, (incorrectly apparently as that gave me 2 AV's), and dropped it after just reading in the "freeware section" that Windows Defender is now considered an excellent AV choice. After then dropping Comodo AV, I checked my win security and found that Win considered Malwarebytes an antivirus and Win Def was not running. Long story short, am I ok running the paid version of Malwarebytes as my one AV?

    Thanks again.

Windows Defender is free keep it active.

Just stick with Malwarebytes as a secondary. You don't need all them AV software.I agree with tim.

I don't purchase software. I am running a free AV program and also have installed MalwareBytes and Zemana Malware.....I run one or both if I suspect an issue.

The problem is I can’t activate win def with MBytes running as it considers it an AV. Should I just go back to Running both Comodo AV along with MBytes? Actually been doing this for years w/o problems. As they say I guess, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

I found the answer on the web - Malwarebytes registers with Windows Defender as primary AV program. Go into Malwarebytes settings, turn off "always register with Windows Defender". Malwarebytes will continue to run and play nice with WD
